One of the biggest hurdles for me is finding out how to eat healthy when the go. This is a big deal for me since i am gone so often. I have come to fall in love with these light tuna packs! I can't believe how full I feel afterwards! I can eat them at home if I want to, but I can also take them on the go. Generally if I'm home I'll season it up, but it is more than satisfying just as is. I also like to eat white mushrooms right out of the pack too. This is a good snack or side to have on the go too. Some of you may not like the blandness/taste of these items (I know my sister would not), but its an option if you like these food choices. It's okay if this isn't your choice. The biggest thing to remember when on the go though is to make an effort to choose something healthy. I find the biggest difference in being able to eat healthy is consciously choosing healthy food choices (loving yourself for it). Keep strong fit family!
Cook your chicken breast and season both sides with Lemon-Pepper seasoning. While your chicken is cooking, cut up a fresh pear, and celery. Add your desired greens to a bowl, celery, pear, chicken, and sprinkle some peanuts on top. In a separate bowl, mix together lemon juice, lime juice, and olive oil to taste. It should be a tangy dressing, but not too sour. After you've got your desired dressing taste, go ahead and add it to your salad. Eat! :)
Protein shakes are great for a pick-me-up or a meal replacement. They help keep you full and satisfied for not too many calories. I really love the Peanut Butter shakes, but I find that sometimes it ups the calorie intake more than I'd like apposed to just a vanilla shake. That's why I use PB2, it tastes like Peanut Butter, but doesn't have the calories or oil that you'd normally find. You can generally find all the ingredients at your local GNC.
INGREDIENTS: Vanilla Whey Protein Powder PB2 Water Ice DIRECTIONS: Put about 1 cup of water into your blender, as well as about 7-10 ice cubes. Then add 1/2 scoop of Vanilla Whey Protein Powder and 1TBS PB2. Blend well than shake. Enjoy! |
